Why own a Lock and Roll?

So, you have been stashing your boat in the woods, so that you can enjoy the hot springs, or go shopping? Or maybe you have been paddle locking your boat to your roof, only to have to take it off ten minutes later.

Well now you dont have to. The truth is that kayak theft is on the rise. The growing popularity of the sport has caused a boom in the number of thefts of boats. I have had reports of people going in for coffee in perfect view of their vehicle on a busy street, only to watch someone slit their straps, and try to take off with their boats. With the Lock and Roll you finally have an excellent option, that will save you time, and possibly money.

Durability and Testing

The Lock and Roll is designed to give you a product that will last a lifetime. I have two Lock and Roll's on my Jeep for over a year, and have used them nonstop. I usually leave one boat on, and one boat off and on to test both types of use. In the process, I have spent countless hours on 4x4 roads, have driven from Utah to Washington about three times, and spend at least one day a week on the river. Since its installation I have had almost no visual wear or rust, and it works as well as it did on day one.

The Lock and Roll is made using:

High grade, heavy duty aluminum, to ensure a lifetime of rust free use.

Aluminum anodizing. Stronger and more scratch resistant than powder coating.

High grade plastics. This ensures no cracks, minimal fading, and excellent protection.

Lock mechanism is designed to be dust resistant, for lifetime use.
