What kind of playboat do you own?
Most creekboats will work, but due to roof rack heights, on specific cars, some factory racks will not work. Most Yakima and Thule Racks will work with creekboats.
What kind of sea kayak do you own?
The way to tell is by looking at the foam block between your legs. If it has a hard plastic piece where your drink holder goes, then you have a 2006 or newer. If you dont have a drink holder then it is probably 2005 or older.

A creekboat is a whitewater kayak designed for steep creeks, running waterfalls, and serious whitewater.
A Playboat is designed by nature to surf waves, cartwheel in holes, run whitewater, and some downriver.
Definition of a Downriver boat.
Made For the ocean or a lake.
These are recreational Kayaks. Most rec boats are made for lakes or easy non whitewater rivers.
The Lock and Roll will work for you.
The Lock and Roll will work for you. You will need to order the Lock and roll for Jackson Kayaks 2006 and Newer.
Your boat will not work with the Lock and Roll System.
Due to the wide variety of kayaks on the market, many sea kayaks will work and some wont. Factors include... Cockpit legnth: The Lock and Roll works with cockpits from 18 to 41 inches Bulkhead: You must have at least 6" behind the back of your cockpit rim. (stern side) Many boats have a wall there. DID YOU KNOW... On a hot summer day, if you left your sea kayak on sawhorses, you may return to find both ends bowed down. This is due to the low quality of materials used from many manufacturers.
