Kayak 50 U.S. / Canada / Mexico / Caribbean flights only: NW (Northwest) Accepts one kayak with paddle as one piece of checked luggage. Fiberglass kayaks not accepted.
Liability release form must be signed.
For all other NW/KL (royal Dutch airlines)
Destinations: Kayak must be shipped via cargo using a known shipper / freight forwarders can be found in the phone book.

Beat the system.
1. "Item not included in free allowance." means that you can check 2 bags up to 50 Lbs, and then your kayak, and then your paddle. (all separate)
2. If you are traveling international: Inform them of the $80.00 charge (most people will have to look it up) then have them check it to your final destination. (and cross your fingers because if they say no, then you will have to be own a shipping business to ship your boat to Uganda)
